Kidnapping suspect may be connected to homicide

DENVER (AP) - Police say a man suspected of kidnapping a woman from a Denver shopping mall might also be responsible for the death of a 73-year-old man found in a trash bin in an alley. Denver police say 24-year-old William Lee Hornes is being held for investigation of first-degree murder in the shooting death of Gerald Schwartzman, found in a Dumpster in a Denver alley Wednesday. The kidnapped woman was able to escape and Hornes was arrested Thursday.
