LOS ANGELES (AP) - Michael Jackson's personal physician returns to court Thursday for the first phase of jury selection in his involuntary manslaughter trial.

Court officials are expecting approximately 160 prospective jurors to report and undergo an initial screening process that will determine whether they can serve on the case. The trial is expected to last at least a month.

Superior Court spokeswoman Mary Hearn says a judge is hoping to find 100 eligible people to make up the jury pool. Screening is expected to last at least two days, and may be extended if enough prospective jurors cannot be found.

Potential jurors will fill out a 30-page questionnaire probing their knowledge and opinions of the case against Dr. Conrad Murray.

The Houston-based cardiologist has pleaded not guilty.
