Ever turn something junky into something unique, or even beautiful? The Colorado Association for Recycling is looking for artists who incorporate reused, recycled or repurposed material within their artwork.
The first annual Recycled Art Market will be held as a feature of the 2012 "Summit for Recycling" state conference planned for June 10-12, 2012, at the Pueblo Convention Center.
Artists may showcase and sell their items such as jewelry, home decor, sculpture, clothing, or other artwork made from reclaimed items. The Recycle Art Market will occur the opening day of the summit, Sunday, June 10 from 1:00-7:30 p.m., and booths have the option to stay open Monday, June 11 from 7:00-10:00 a.m.
All work displayed and sold must be original and contain at least 75 percent reused, recycled, re-purposed materials. Booths must be staffed during the entire market. There is no fee for selling materials or booth space, but each artist must donate one of his/her products valued at $50 or more to the Summit Silent Auction Fundraiser.
