John Lennon's killer denied parole again

John Lennon's killer has been denied parole for the seventh time. Aaccording to corrections officials in New York, 57-year-old Mark David Chapman went before a 3-person parole board Wednesday.

He was denied parole from the Wende Correctional Facility, a maximum security prison in western New York. Chapman shot former Beatle, John Lennon outside his Manhattan apartment building on December 8, 1980.

He was sentenced to 20 years to life in prison after pleading guilty to second degree murder charges.

Chapman told a previous parole board in 2010 that he had considered shooting Johnny Carson or Elizabeth Taylor but chose John Lennon because he was more accessible.
