Jogger killed by out-of-control SUV

DENVER (AP) - Authorities say an out-of-control SUV struck and killed a jogger before ripping across a church lawn and smashing into a Denver home, pinning the resident against a refrigerator in the kitchen.
Police say witnesses told them the driver was speeding when the vehicle hit the male jogger and barreled through the lawn of the Life Source Adventist Fellowship church in southwest Denver on Sunday morning. The SUV then went through a backyard fence and smashed into a nearby home.
The Denver Post reports the driver and the resident suffered minor injuries and were treated at a nearby hospital.
Police spokesman Sonny Jackson called the crash "a very disturbing scene for an Easter Sunday."
