The House is poised to pass a jobs bill - one that calls for a mix of highway funding and tax breaks for companies that hire unemployed workers.
Some Democrats, especially those who represent minority districts, feel the Senate version of the jobs bill is too small.
But members of President Barack Obama's party seem intent on delivering on the first of several promised election-year employment measures.
