The US Air Force Academy has several new job postings this week.
LIBRARY TECHNICIAN - The primary purpose of this position is to provide a variety of circulation activities including shelving, charging materials in/out, maintaining materials in shelf order and answering general questions from patrons/customers about circulation policies or general directions. Starting pay is $27,000 - $36,000.
MOTOR VEHICLE DISPATCHER -The incumbent will receive, process, plan, schedule and assign motor vehicle assets against approved transportation requests from Academy organizations.
Receives request for motor vehicle transportation and /or taxi service form customers.
Independently plans the requisite resources to support the approved requests for motor vehicle transportation.
Assigns operators and dispatches government vehicles to support requests for motor vehicle transportation.
Collects, maintains, and analyzes management data from transportation requests and organic resources and prepares a variety of reports.
Performs routine office administrative tasks and functions
Provides driver briefings and training to motor vehicle operators on specialized characteristics of the U-Drive-It fleet.
Starting pay is $31,000 - $40,000
INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEM SPECIALIST - The primary purpose of this position is to plan, organize, and direct the curriculum development activities of the Commandant of Cadets (CW) Center for Character and Leadership Development, Character and Leadership Education Division (CWCL). The incumbent will plan, organize, and direct the activities of the division, ensuring that CWCL meets the needs of the CW in educating leaders of character in service of the nation. Responsible for researching, creating, developing, and assessing accession-level curricula which are integrated and congruent with the course of instruction and outcomes pursued by other mission elements and other accession and leadership education sources. Exercising supervisory personnel management responsibilities by advising and providing counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives issued by higher directives and other commissioning and education sources. Ensure division expertise in education technology, methodology, and research by integrating new and classical instructional technologies, to include-small-group facilitation, guided discussion, lecture, guided reflections, and multimedia educational technologies, with proven educational theories to produce state-of-the-art curricula for the organization. Attend meetings, conferences, briefings, and seminars and requests CWC with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Starting pay is $68,000 - $89,000.
