The Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind in Colorado Springs has an opening for an Accounting Technician.
This person will provide technical support work to the school accountant and program managers involving processing of financial transactions and maintenance of accurate & complete records of transactions. The purpose of this position is to: coordinate the School Medicaid Program and all required components such as training, time study, cost reconciliation process, in an effort to maximize Medicaid reimbursement dollars to CSDB; consult with Colorado Department of Education (cde), Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) and their agents to ensure optimum utilization of the School Medicaid Program; provide accounting/budgetary support for CSDB's Early Education Programs; maintain necessary databases and budget tracking; ensure purchasing requests for Early Education Programs are processed according to all necessary systems from approval of the request to payment of invoices.
