DENVER (AP) - Colorado Rockies pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez has been selected for the National League All-Star team.
But catcher Miguel Olivo was left off the team, and outfielder Carlos Gonzalez will make it only by winning a fan vote for the final roster spot.
Shortstop Troy Tulowitzki, who is sidelined with a fractured left wrist, will be unable to play in the All-Star game on July 13 in Anaheim, Calif. But like Jimenez, Tulowitzki was elected to the team by National League players, managers and coaches. Jimenez is 14-1 with a 2.27 ERA.
Jimenez leads the majors in wins and ranks third in the National League in ERA and second in opponents batting average (.203). He threw a no-hitter, the first in Rockies history, April 17 at
Atlanta and has had scoreless streaks of 26 and 33 consecutive innings this season.
