A woman pardoned by former Gov. Bill Ritter following her conviction in a murder case is up for parole.

Jennifer Reali was convicted of first-degree murder in 1992 for conspiring with her boyfriend to kill his wife. Reali's parole date was moved up from 2030 to this summer.
Prison officials tell the Colorado Springs Gazette that Reali is scheduled for a parole hearing at the Denver Women's Correctional Facility on Wednesday.

Ritter said the pardon would bring Reali's sentence more in line with that of her accomplice, Brian Hood. Authorities say he crafted the plot to kill, his wife, Dianne Hood, and devised Reali's role in it.

Hood was sentenced to 37 years in prison in his wife's death. He was recaptured a day after escaping from prison in 1998.
