The Air Force football team hosts San Diego State Saturday afternoon at Falcon Stadium. The Falcons quarterback for that game is still a big question mark.
Tim Jefferson sprained his ankle in the New Mexico game and as of Tuesday his status remained uncertain.
Air Force coach Troy Calhoun says there's a good chance backup quarterback Connor Dietz will play Saturday but he also said that Jefferson could make the start.
Jefferson says he's between 60 and 80 percent. "I'm hoping that I can get back on the field this week so I can play this Saturday," said Jefferson.
Jefferson is hoping to practice later in the week but was still wearing a protective boot on Tuesday.
