Jed Udall, son of Sen. Mark Udall, in treatment

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Jedediah Fox-Udall, the son of U.S. Sen. Mark Udall, has entered drug treatment as attorneys continue plea negotiations in his Boulder County drug and burglary case.

Fox-Udall was scheduled for an arraignment hearing Friday in Boulder District Court, but a judge granted a motion filed by his attorneys to delay the hearing until July 11.

The Boulder Daily Camera reports attorneys were notified Fox-Udall is currently enrolled in a treatment program.

Fox-Udall is facing five felony trespassing counts, one felony count of burglary, a misdemeanor count of theft between $50 and $300, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He also has an open misdemeanor theft case.

Fox-Udall was arrested in January after he was accused of breaking into a home and four cars after allegedly using heroin.
