Halting a four-game winning streak, the Denver Nuggets lost to Utah 105-103 in Salt Lake City Monday night.
In a close game, Denver's Andre Iguodala was ejected with 3:24 remaining in the third quarter after tangling with Utah's Randy Foye.
With a chance to win or tie, The Nuggets had the ball back with three seconds to go but Ty Lawson could not get a shot off, even after a timeout.
"We had the momentum, then when things turned, everything went wrong," Denver coach George Karl said. "But we fought hard and stayed in it. To win in this building is a physical and mental fight."
Kenneth Faried led the Nuggets with 21 points and nine rebounds, and Lawson had 16 points and nine assists.
