J. Ralph Carter loses battle with Lou Gehrig's Disease

Some sad news to pass along to our longtime News First 5 viewers.
J. Ralph Carter, our weathercaster who started here in the mid 70's, has passed away. J Ralph passed away from Lou Gehrigs Disease (ALS) which is a form of Muscular Dystrophy. He was only 61 years old.
Co-workers remember him fondly. J Ralph was one of a kind, just a super person and great to work with. Oh, those state fair show memories.
We'll take a look back at J. Ralph's long career here, tonight on NF5 at 10.
