DENVER (AP) - Investigators in El Paso County say they are still trying to determine what sparked the most financially devastating wildfire in Colorado history, while a separate probe is under way after authorities say several fires were intentionally set in an adjacent county at about the same time.

The Denver Post reports investigators haven't released any details about what might have caused the Waldo Canyon Fire. The fire in Colorado Springs killed two people and destroyed nearly 350 homes in late June.

Meanwhile, Teller County Sheriff Mike Ensminger says he has no doubt the 25 to 35 fires that burned in his county the week before the Waldo Canyon Fire were intentionally set.

Ensminger says he doesn't think those fires and the Waldo Canyon Fire are connected, but he wouldn't elaborate.
