Members of the Crystal Park Volunteer Fire Department have been at the site of a massive house fire all night keeping an eye on the rubble and occassionally spraying it with water to help keep it cool. Arson investigators with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office are expected to visit the scene later today to try and determine what caused the blaze and whether further investigation is warranted.

Fire department spokesperson Floyd O'Neil said the home had recently been sold and that the family was in the process of moving in when the fire sparked. Catherine Barde of the Pikes Peak Chapter of the American Red Cross said their assistance was not requested but is still available to the family at any time. It's unclear whether any of the family's belongings were inside.

The three bedroom home in the 1300 block of Sun Valley Lane caught fire sometime before 7:20 p.m. Tuesday and was completely consumed by flames. Fire fighters from six different agencies responded to the home and were able to keep the fire contained just to the building itself.
