Investigation into an alleged sexual assault involving a child leads to one arrest

A sexual assault investigation two days ago in Colorado Springs leads to one arrest last night.
Robert Koenig, 52, was arrested Friday night on a felony charge of Sexual Assault on a Child by One in a Position of Trust.
Thursday, officers went to a home on E. Rio Grande Street to investigate the sexual assault of a 7-year-old female.
Further information was received that Koenig, the child's neighbor, allegedly engaged in sexual contact with the victim in view of two Department of Human Services Caseworkers that day.
Detectives from the Crimes Against Children Unit were assigned to continue the investigation on Friday which led to Koenig's arrest.
