NTSB is holding press conference this afternoon and the wreckage is being removed after a two plane mid-air collision yesterday that killed three people in Boulder County.
The crash happened around 1:30 yesterday afternoon when an airplane towing a glider collided with another plane, sending both crashing into the ground. FAA spokeswoman Laura Brown said one of the aircraft clipped the towline of a plane that had been pulling a glider. The glider disconnected from the plane just before the second craft hit the tow rope, and managed to land safely.
The accident is under investigation.
