The investigation continues into the stabbing deaths of two children on a farm in Falcon.
The incident happened near East Woodman Road and Mohawk at the Remington Ranch Equestrian Stables.
Sheriff's deputies say the man behind the two stabbings is Ethan Courrau, 22. He died after reportedly stabbing himself.
Shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday night, deputies received a 9-1-1 call about a stabbing. We're told the report was made by a person who knew the family.
"They did discover a 1-year-old child deceased," Lt. Jeff Kramer said. "A 3-year-old child had serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital."
Scarlett, 1, was pronounced dead when deputies arrived. Ryan, 3, died at the hospital.
"Certainly a sad situation," Lt. Kramer said. "This case will require a lot of effort and thorough work from our investigators."
Ethan Courrau is not directly related to the family, but the El Paso County Sheriff's Office says he does know them.
A motive for the killings is not yet known.
