A generous gift for the Boys & Girls club of Pueblo County. On Wednesday morning, a man who invented a cell phone cover announced he would donate $100,000 to the center.

Jeff Valdez owns the company based out of Cripple Creek, which produces a cell phone cover called mySnark. The cell phone case is meant to protect phones from being damaged or destroyed if they're dropped.

Valdez grew up in Pueblo and has worked in television and film. He says he wanted to give back to his community and inspire young people to follow their dreams.

Valdez says mySnark will donate $7 from each unit sold until the donation totals $100,000. "Granted this is a business and we intend to make a profit," said Valdez. "But we also have every intention of making a difference with it," he added.
