One person is dead after a crash 7 miles north of Pueblo on Interstate 25. The northbound side of the interstate from milemarker 110 (Pinon) to milemarker 114 (Young Hollow) was shut down for five hours.

A truck with a trailer was traveling southbound at milemarker 114, it's not known why, but the trailer separated from the truck and came across the center median into the northbound lanes.

The trailer struck the cab of a semi-truck carrying US Mail, killing the semi driver.

The semi came to rest in the center median. Two more vehicles struck debris from the trailer and were disabled by the crash. The driver of the semi was pronounced dead on-scene. No other injuries were reported.

After the crash, a grass fire sparked on the east side of I-25 for approximately 150 yards.
