Residents, businesses representatives and other interested people are invited to be a part of the Academy Boulevard Corridor Great Streets Plan. This phase of the process is focusing on Academy from Maizeland Road to Drennan Road.
A public meeting will be held June 24, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., in the Sierra High School Commons Room, 2250 Jet Wing Drive. The meeting will include a presentation at 5 p.m., followed by a question and answer session and informal discussions. The Great Streets Plan encourages people who use the street, or live or work on it, to share their vision for it's future.
"There are a significant number of businesses in the study area and about 60,000 people living along this segment of Academy Boulevard," says Carl Schueler, project manager for the City of Colorado Springs. "Public input is an important element of this study and the study team is eager to hear from every segment of the community potentially impacted by this plan.
