A man was critically injured in a house fire in northeast Colorado Springs late Tuesday morning. He's been rushed to a local hospital, with the possibility that he'll be airlifted to a specialized burn unit in Denver.
A woman and infant who were also in the home when the fire broke out escaped unharmed.
Initial reports were that the man was injured when he jumped off of a balcony. Firefighters say the man was in the yard when they arrived, and they believe he jumped. The victim was rushed from the scene as soon as an ambulance arrived.
The fire was in the 66-hundred block of Annahill Pl.
NewsFirst5 reporter Stephanie Collins was at the scene and will have the latest on NewsFirst5 at 5 & 6 pm.
