Information wanted in elk poaching case

Colorado Parks and Wildlife is looking for information on a poaching incident that took place last weekend.

Wildlife officers say that two cow elk were shot early Saturday, April 20 about 20-miles south of Westcliffe.

The elk were found in a hay field adjacent to Highway 69 on the Wolf Springs Ranch.

Anyone with information should call District Wildlife Officer Justin Krall at 719-371-2240 or call Operation Game Thief at 1-877-265-6648. Email tips can be sent to game.thief@state.co.us. Callers may remain anonymous if they wish. Tips that lead to citations are eligible for cash rewards.
