3A Girls Semi's: C.S. Christian beats Pagosa Springs, 46-40

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Erika Heckman had 16 points and six rebounds to lead Colorado Springs Christian to a 46-40 victory over Pagosa Springs in the semifinals of the Colorado 3A girls state basketball tournament Friday night.
Top seeded Colorado Springs Christian (26-0) won despite getting only six points from top scorer Brianne Vandegriend. Foul trouble limited Vandegriend to nine minutes, but she was around to seal the win with two free throws and a layup with 2:05 left that gave the Lions a 44-34 lead.
Mary Brinton led Pagosa Springs (22-3) with 15 points.
