In custody death at the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center

A 51 year old man who was in custody at the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center was found unresponsive in his cell Tuesday.
Lifesaving efforts were conducted both by in-house personnel and medical personnel at a local hospital. They were unable to resuscitate him. An autopsy has been scheduled for tomorrow.
There were no apparent signs of foul play. We will bring you more information as it becomes available.
