IDs released in Pueblo shooting that led to deadly SWAT standoff

Pueblo police have released the names of the two people involved in a shooting Saturday evening that led to a deadly standoff with SWAT officers.  Alvino Hidalgo, 43, was shot by Frankie Martinez, 66, during an altercation around 5:30 Saturday evening near Gaylord Avenue and Bay State Avenue on Pueblo's south side.   Hidalgo ran off and called police, telling them that Martinez had fled to a nearby apartment, where police surrounded him and urged him to come out.  When he refused, members of the SWAT team were brought in to handle the situation.  Eventually, Martinez opened a door and pointed a gun at officers, who then opened fire.  Martinez died from his wounds on-scene.  Hidalgo was taken to a local hospital where he was last reported to be in intensive care with a gunshot wound to the chest.
