Identity released of woman shot to death

Colorado Springs Police have released the name of a woman shot to death early Saturday morning at the Windtree Apartments, in the 2500 block of Paragon Dr..
Police say 46 year old Cristen Ann Cox of the springs was shot in the torso after entering the apartment of a man she once had a relationship with. Investigators say Cox fired shots into the lock of the front door to get in, and was shot as she came through the door.
Her death has been ruled a homicide, but officers say it has not yet been determined if charges will be filed. This is the 22nd homicide in Colorado Springs this year.
