Colorado Springs, CO - On Wednesday, at approximately 1:47pm Colorado Springs police received a call regarding a maroon SUV heading southbound in the northbound lanes of I-25 near the North Nevada interchange. An officer attempted to stop the vehicle near Garden of the Gods Road but the vehicle went around the officer just missing his cruiser. Officers were able to deploy stop sticks just south of Fillmore Street on I-25. The front tires of the vehicle were flattened from contact with the sticks. The vehicle continued southbound for approximately a quarter mile before coming to a stop. With the assistance from the Colorado State Patrol the male driver was detained. The suspect was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation by medical staff and a CSPD DUI Officer. Scott Loos, 49, was arrested for DUID. There were no injuries to anyone involved.
