A stretch of I-25 is completely reopened this morning, following a deadly overnight accident that shut down the interstate for a time.

The Colorado State Patrol reports that a car hit a deer at around 1:30 this morning. Another vehicle, trying to avoid that accident, rolled into the medium. That driver died. She was from San Manuel, Arizona. Her passenger, also from Arizona, was taken to Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs with serious injuries.

The accident was between mile markers 123 and 128--south of Fountain.
