Highway 67, near the entrance to Mueller State Park, re-opened Friday night after being closed after a tanker crash allegedly caused by a bee.

The road, which is the main route to Cripple Creek, was closed most of Friday afternoon and evening because of a tanker rollover. The tanker was carrying ammonium nitrate but didn't leak.

A major traffic jam developed during the afternoon. Then around 4:30 one lane was opened and traffic began moving again. By 5 p.m. the road was closed again to allow work crews to remove the tanker.

The driver was not injured in the crash. No other vehicles were involved. The driver said he lost control when he was stung by a bee.
