Husband of babysitter jailed on sexual assault charges

A Colorado Springs man is accused of sexually assaulting two young girls that his wife was babysitting at the couple's home six years ago. Detectives with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office arrested Murray Basinger, 53, Wednesday on charges of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust.
Detectives believe the abuse happened on multiple occassions over a period of months and would take place while Mrs. Basinger was either running errands or asleep. The victims were between the ages of seven and nine at the time.
The sheriff's office is requesting that any other potential victims contact Detective Greg White at 719-520-7246.
