It's a day full of fun and raptors out at Lake Pueblo State Park!

The Eagle Day Festival has taken over there at the lake, and so have the Bald Eagles.

Large groups set up telescopes and used binoculars to see the eagles from a long distance away.

They say it's important education for adults and kids.

"It gives people a chance to see nature," said Clif Smith, a volunteer. "It's important for people to know what lives in their area and what may come in and visit their area, and so knowledge is wonderful."

The festival continues tomorrow with wildlife viewing and a bird walk.
