It's second nature for the people Colorado Springs to give back abundantly to those in need.

Hundreds of dedicated racers hit the pavement Saturday morning for the Wells Fargo Multiple Sclerosis Walk.

Currently, Colorado has one of the highest incidences of multiple sclerosis in the nation; Colorado's Multiple Sclerosis Society and these walkers are determined to lower that number one walk at a time.

Walkers have raised funds at 9 locations across Colorado, totaling more than $1.2 million. All of the proceeds directly benefit MS services, research, and advocacy for 76,000 Coloradans with MS.

"Together, we are 9 walk locations, 1 destination, and a world free of MS," Scott Mayeux of the National MS Society of Colorado Springs said post-race.
