Huge house fire on Colorado Springs' westside

A large house fire on the westside of Colorado Springs is out. The fire sparked just after 6:15pm at a home at 2508 Stratton Forest Heights, and quickly burned out of control. That's west of Cheyenne Mountain High School.

The house was under construction and vacant. No one was inside at the time of the fire.

24 other houses in the neighborhood were evacuated as a precaution. Those families were told they could safely return home, shortly before 10p.m.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
