Cyber criminals cost the U.S. economy roughly a hundred billion dollars a year and perhaps as many as half a million jobs.
In a report from McAfee, analysts looked at a variety of malicious cyber activities, including loss of intellectual property and information, service disruptions, and security upgrades after an attack.
Then they tallied up the estimated loss to both the economy and the workforce.
