UPDATE: House fire in Ellicott

Quite a scare in Ellicott Tuesday evening after a wind whipped fire started spreading. It happened just after 6:30 p.m. at a home on Milne Road, near Peyton and Drennen.

The home is a complete loss. But we're told it was vacant. The winds were really whipping and the fire crews didn't want to take any chances so they called in 35 firefighters to battle the fire.

A fire investigator is on the scene. No word yet on what started it.
