House Burglary Suspect Arrested

Colorado Springs, CO - Colorado Springs police were dispatched to a residence in the 1200 block of Lehmberg Blvd in response to a possible in-progress burglary on Sunday just after 5:00p.m. Upon arrival, Officers noted signs that clearly indicated people were inside. Numerous unsuccessful attempts were made to contact whoever was inside prior to making entry into the residence. Once officers did make entry, they located seven individuals inside, two who were hiding inside the residence. A third was hiding in the attic. He was attempting to flee by means of the roof. He was also found to be wanted on unrelated outstanding warrants. All were arrested for first degree criminal trespass. Six of the individuals arrested were juveniles. One was a former tenant who had been previously evicted. The homeowner was not living at the residence at the time.
