Good, soaking rain fell, especially on Friday and Saturday right along the southern Front Range. Rainfall totals from Friday through Sunday were at 1.99" at Colorado Springs and 1.28" at Pueblo. Sunday was marked by less rain and hotter temperatures - the highs were at 89 in Colorado Springs and 95 in Pueblo. Today is going to be even hotter with highs in the 90's and 100's across the area.
Rain-wise, nearly all of us will stay dry. The moisture content of the atmosphere is significantly lower than in recent days, and high pressure is going to force air to descend from aloft. That will warm and dry the air even more. An isolated shower cannot be ruled out in the mountains where the upslope breeze can help provide some rising motion needed to generate showers, but nearly all of our area will be dry and hot.
