Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop across the high country and foothills this afternoon and eventually spill out over the I-25 corridor and Plains. Moderate rain may fall from any shower or storm that develops which may cause issues for the burn scars. Highs today will be above average for this time of year by about 5-8 degrees.
Expect more of the same (hot temperatures and afternoon showers and storms) Sunday and Monday. A drier weather pattern will set up across Southern Colorado for the middle and end of the workweek though the heat will continue with highs in the 80s/90s.
