Get ready for a hot Monday!
Highs Monday will be about 5 to 10 degrees above average across Southern Colorado. The Highway 50 corridor and the Southeastern Plains will experience highs around 100 degrees Monday afternoon with other spots topping out in the 90s. Expect mostly to partly sunny skies throughout the day.
The dry conditions and heat continue into Tuesday, but come Wednesday, the weather pattern will become active once again. Off and on showers and thunderstorms are likely throughout the second half of the week including next weekend. Temperatures will cool to more seasonal values during the active stretch.
