A national restaurant chain hopes free pancakes will entice customers to donate a few bucks to the Shriner's hospitals for children.
Tuesday is National Pancake Day, and all IHOP restaurants nationwide will offer each customer a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes, while asking at the same time for a donation. This year IHOP hopes to raise $1.75 million.
The offer is good Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Last year IHOP gave away 2.5 million pancakes. If you stacked them all up, they would reach 20 miles high.
