BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - A woman from Erie says she was bucked from her horse on a trail near Nederland after an unleashed dog jumped at her horse's legs.
Boulder County sheriff's officials are looking for the owner of a dog, described as a springer spaniel. Leashes are not required in the area, but owners do have to have control of their pets.
Sheriff's officials say 30-year-old Virginia Giles of Erie was taken to a hospital after she fell Saturday afternoon in the West Magnolia area.
Authorities say the dog's owner and his friend came mountain biking down the trail a few minutes after the dog encountered Giles' horse, but they didn't stay with Giles or give their names.
