TODAY: Thanks to a cool front that came through this morning it will be at least 18-20 degrees cooler than it was yesterday when we had record high temps! Breezy winds behind the front will decrease as the day progresses. You might notice a few more later afternoon clouds today around Teller, northern El Paso and Las Animas Counties. Summer officially begins later today at 5:09 PM!
TONIGHT: Upslope flow means that we'll expect mostly cloudy skies around here by about 9 or 10 PM. There is a very slight chance of an isolated shower or storm near for areas west of I-25...including The Wet Mountains & Rampart Range. Perhaps a storm or two for Monument or Trinidad. Lows tonight will be about 6-10 degrees cooler than lows this morning. Enjoy!
THURSDAY: If you like the sound of today's cooler temps you'll like tomorrow! Temps Thursday will probably be a degree or two cooler than today. In the morning you'll notice some clouds around the Front Range before skies become mostly sunny to partly cloudy by afternoon.
FRIDAY-SUNDAY: Here comes the first weekend of summer and here comes the heat. (Again) High pressure builds back into the region which means temps will soar back into the lower to middle 90's for Colorado Springs and upper 90's and lower 100's for Pueblo and the southeastern plains. Skies will be dry for the most part...but there will be a slight chance, especially on Saturday, of an isolated storm or two over the mountains and higher elevations.
MONDAY: Very hot weather again with mostly dry skies.
TUESDAY: Temps about 2-3 degrees lower than highs on Monday. Still not much hope of any storms with the exception of one or two over the mountains.
