Honoring our veterans today

There will be Veteran's Day events held throughout southern Colorado today.
To honor our Veterans in Colorado Springs, a remembrance ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. this morning at the Retired Enlisted Association on Emory Circle. Also at 11 a.m., Pueblo will hold a ceremony on the Veterans bridge at the Riverwalk.
Several restaurants will be offering free meals to veterans and active service members today.
- Applebee's is offering a free entree and side dish.
- Famous Daves will serve veterans a free meal
- Outback is offering veterans a free bloomin onion and beverage.
- There are some other restaurants offering similar promotions; to claim the deals you must show proof of military service.
Meanwhile, President Obama will honor the nations veterans at Arlington National Cemetery. He's planning to attend wreath laying ceremonies there for fallen soldiers.
