Hike for Habitat in Colorado Springs

Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity will hold its annual Hike for Habitat in Colorado Springs this Saturday at America the Beautiful Park.

The charity builds simple, affordable houses for low-income families in El Paso County.Since 1986, they've built 99 homes.

The 4.5 mile walk will go through America the Beautiful Park and Pikes Peak Habitat's Mill Street neighborhood. The registration fee is $30 and includes lunch, entertainment and a T-shirt.

Registration begins at 9 am; the hike at 10 a.m. Lunch and entertainment follows.
