The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for parts of southern Colorado for this afternoon through early evening. Dry, windy conditions along the I-25 corridor will increase potential fire danger for southern El Paso, Pueblo, eastern Huerfano, western Las Animas, Crowley, and Otero counties.
Winds along the eastern plains will be around 40 to 55 mph, while winds west of La Junta will be as high as 30 to 40 mph. Winds could be stronger in the areas that have an isolated thunderstorm.
Gusty winds could cause driving hazards. Check out our News First 5 traffic page for information on current traffic conditions.
