Graduation and summer internships are on the horizon and one high school offered a program for their students to meet potential employers.

Rampart High School in Colorado Springs hosted a Career Day on Friday morning. It was an opportunity for students to meet and talk with a variety of professionals. Journalists, veterinarians, mechanics, pilots and people from the civil service were ready to field questions.

Unlike most career-type fairs, this one was meant for kids not to get jobs, but to learn about what types of jobs exist.

High school senior Jannelle Giusti says, "That's another good thing about this thing is that it opens up new opportunities. So, you can discover your interests." It certainly opened her eyes to potential professions that did not catch her eye originally.

The fair also served as an opportunity for kids to learn about what steps they need to take in order to land their dream job.

Approximately fifty companies participated and students from all grades were able to attend.
