High Park Fire in Larimer Co. growing

The High Park Fire burning in Larimer County has grown to 14,000 acres and is at 0% containment according to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office.

The fire began near the Paradise Park area, about 20 miles northwest of Fort Collins. No word on what started the blaze.

Residents living along several roads in the region have been ordered to evacuate and many more have been warned that they might have to flee. At least 10 structures have been destroyed or damaged, although officials were unsure if they were homes or some other kind of buildings. No injuries have been reported.

Crews say wind combined with dry timber is fueling the fire.

Another citizen briefing by fire bosses is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at Cache La Poudre Middle School in Laport. An evacuation center has been set up there.
