The National Weather Service says conditions are right for dry lighting across much of Colorado today, which raises the threat of wildfire.
A Red Flag Warning is in effect along the Continental Divide from New Mexico to Wyoming until 9 p.m. The area includes Colorado Springs and Denver and extends all the way to Utah on the west.
A Red Flag Warning means critical fire weather conditions are either occuring now or will shortly. Those conditions include low humidity, warm temperatures and strong winds.
